During my research, I found that traditional login experiences often feel flat and uninspiring. To make Shleep’s sign-in more engaging and playful, I brought the sheep mascot from the brand’s logo directly into the UI. Using the four intro lines provided, I created a series of illustrated scenes that form a simple, calming narrative to welcome users before they reach the sign-in screen.

OVERVIEW

Shleep is a sleep-wellness app focused on calming routines and personalised rest. As part of this brief I was tasked with redesigning the sign-in experience to feel more engaging, emotionally warm, and aligned with the brand’s playful tone. Instead of presenting users with a static login form, I designed a slideshow-based introduction that blends illustration, colour, and gentle motion to ease users into the app experience and set the right emotional foundation. Challenge: ​Traditional sign-in screens feel functional but lack personality. For a wellbeing brand like Shleep, this created a disconnect between the product’s calming purpose and its first user touchpoint. The challenge was to transform this high-friction moment into something emotionally inviting, engaging, and on-brand. Solution: ​I took the Shleep brand logo and brought it to life by transforming the sheep character into a fully illustrated narrative. Starting with hand-drawn concept sketches, I developed a series of digital illustrations that were animated using soft easing, gentle pacing, and calming transitions. These illustrations formed a narrative slideshow that introduces users to the Shleep brand world during the login experience screen. This motion-led approach sets an emotional foundation, makes the sign-in moment feel more welcoming, and creates a smooth, engaging entry into the app’s onboarding flow.
